The decision to get another pet following the devastating loss our 15-year-old Labrador didn’t come easy. Life was so busy then with children, work, and travel that my husband and I decided we would pursue having a dog sometime in the distant future. Well…. we lasted 3 whole months! A little puppy, we now call Bella, found us and filled the empty place in our hearts.
Bella is now 8 years old. She has always been a graceful, sweet, and gentle soul. Recently, she became suddenly ill and was put in the care of Dr. Bradshaw at Village Park Animal Hospital. Dr. Bradshaw and her staff were committed to finding the cause of her illness and worked with me to get her the help she needed. Gratefully, Bella survived major surgery and is recovering well. Going through that experience once again reminded us how fragile life is and what a gift we have in Bella. Thank you, Dr. Bradshaw!
