Congrats to Rosie, our October pet of the month! Rosie has an amazing story to share, here is what her owner shared with us:
Rosie is a lovely chihuahua who was adopted at the Coachella Pet Rescue Center by local photographer, Robert Marcos Fowler. On the night of September 20th Rosie was attacked by one or more coyotes as Robert walked her along Calle Yucatan, in La Quinta Cove. Robert charged into the melee and Rosie was released. But she suffered severe damage to her neck and had a punctured sinus and scalp. She was one very unhappy pup, but extremely lucky to have been taken directly to the Village Park Animal Hospital, where the doctors performed surgery and gradually brought her back to life. She’s now back to chasing small birds and an occasional cat, but very often the cats – many of whom are larger than her, stand their ground. This is very disappointing for Rosie.
